Jane Holden

Acupuncture, Bowen Technique, N.A.E.T.

Jane Holden practices Collaborative Health Care so that you and your loved ones will feel better. Jane has been assisting people to feel better and relieve pain since 1987. Treatments are tailored to each individual and may include one or more techniques.

Your Benefits:
• Relieve pain & chronic conditions
• Feel better & have more energy
• Enjoy calmness, improved mood, and renewed strength for life’s challenges

In addition to Acupuncture and Bowen Technique, your treatments may also include Acupressure, Flower Essences, Massage, Krieger-Kunz Therapeutic Touch or NAET Allergy Elimination.

The goal is to establish a healing relationship focused on restoring balance and promoting health. Addressing the underlying cause of your discomfort can bring deep lasting results. While symptoms are often relieved within a short time, restoring and maintaining natural balance is a lifelong activity.

The frequency of treatments will be based on your health goals. For well-being and stress relief 2 to 5 times a year is very beneficial. An acute condition, such as a cold or recent injury, often improves with one visit. Chronic problems require more attention; five to twelve progressive treatments are the average required. Many people continue to see Jane over the years, coming for seasonal “tune-ups” and whenever they need extra care.

Are there any side effects? One of the great benefits of treatment is the absence of side effects. On occasion there may be a healing crisis, usually in the first 24 hours. Most patients report a deep sense of relaxation and well-being. After the session you are encouraged to relax, avoid strenuous activity and not eat a heavy meal. Drinking water and taking gentle walks will help integrate the treatment.

Jane Holden is a member of the Nova Scotia Acupuncture Association with a Bachelor of Acupuncture degree from the College of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture in England. She is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science degree, a member of the Massage Therapists Association of Nova Scotia, a Certified Bowen Practitioner, and an Associate NAET Practitioner.

Georgia Schurman

Massage Therapy

Georgia graduated at the top of her class from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. In her training, she excelled in clinical assessments, anatomy, and specialized in pregnancy and chronic illnesses. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts with honours from Saint-Mary’s University.

It was through her studies that Georgia developed a passion for learning about the body and how it functions. She believes that the body is always attempting to intuitively move towards health, and it is her role to aid in facilitating this process. She is also deeply committed to trauma informed perspectives, and strives to create a space that responds to her clients wants and needs. Outside of treating people she is happiest being by the ocean, reading, biking around town and spending time with people she loves.
